PACKAGE DETAILS
Day 1 - Home – Fairbanks
After picking you up from the airport, we will drive you to the Chena Hot Springs Resort for check-in (after 3:00 pm).
Then you can enjoy yourselves in the Chena Hot Springs, where you may encounter the beautiful aurora.
Pick-up info
Upon collected the baggage, you will ride Chena Shuttle with the logo of Chena Hot Springs Resort to the resort. Our driver will wait for you outside of “Arrival” with your name. Probably you will take 1.5 hours driving (depending on the road conditions). Upon check-in, you will chasing the aurora and enjoy the hot springs.
- Please print and carry this E-Voucher along with valid photo identification.
- For each order, only ONE Chena Resort Shuttle (not available between 3am and 5am) can be provided.
- Hotel Check-in: after 3:00 pm
Chena Hot Springs
Chena Hot Springs is a hot spring, resort, and unincorporated community in the Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska, United States, 56.5 miles northeast of Fairbanks near the Chena River State Recreation Area. The resort makes use of the first low-temperature binary geothermal power plant built in Alaska, and is working on several alternative energy projects, including production and use of hydrogen and vegetable oil for fuel.
*NOTE:
- Enjoy unlimited access to the soothing waters during your stay. Open Hours: 07:00-00:00.
- Please prepare your swimming suit and quarters for the locker, and slipper if need.
- Please note your swim time if you have cardiovascular disease.
- Guests under 18 years old are not allowed to enter the outside pool.

Day 2 - Aurora Ice Museum – Chena Hot Springs Resort
Please check-in at the Activity Center by 10:45 am for the Ice Museum Tour. For an extra fee of $15, you can choose to drink an Apple Martini at their ice bar out of a cocktail glass made of ice. Experience a drink like no other!
Check-in at the Activity Center by 1:45 pm to sign up for the one-hour geothermal renewable energy tour.
Ice Museum
Ice Museum is open year around and allows you to see the ice-sculptures of world famous sculpting masters. Explore “rooms” made out of ice as well as free standing sculptures. The Chena Hot Springs Aurora Ice Museum uses a unique, energy efficient absorption chiller, powered by our geothermal water. The absorption chiller can keep the Museum cool even during Fairbanks’ hot summer months, when temperatures can reach over 90 degrees.

Through geothermal renewable energy tours, you will learn more about the energy saving projects in Chena.

Day 3 - Fairbanks – Borealis Basecamp - Free Day
We have to change hotel today, please kindly prepare your luggage in advance.
Meet at 8am, we will go to Fairbanks first, and then change shuttle bus to Borealis Basecamp; you will have the chance to choose several optional tours at Borealis Basecamp.

Day 4 - Arctic Circle - Borealis Basecamp
Squeduel :
Meet at 11am, we will leave Fairbanks and continue your journey to the North.
12:30 pm, we will reach the rugged Dalton Highway, where we will stop for the photo with the Dalton Highway Sign around 15 mins.
Then we will continue to the Yukon River Camp which you will reach around 2:20 pm (depending on road conditions).
Enjoy a quick hot meal and continue on to the Arctic Circle around 4:50 pm. On the return trip, we will stop once more at Yukon River to use the restroom.
We will arrive at Borealis Basecamp at 9:30 pm.
Notes
- Be aware that this tour is a total of 10-hour van expedition, feel free to bring your snacks and beverages.
- Restroom with fresh water only at: Yukon River Camp, Borealis Basecamp.
- Except for the Borealis Basecamp, this tour is not covered by mobile signal.
- You can also choose to upgrade to Arctic Circle Fly Drive, $225 per person.

Travel to one of the “loneliest roads in the world”- the Dalton Highway, featured in the series “Ice Road Truckers.” Along the way, see Alaska’s famous oil pipeline, the mighty Yukon River, and the amazing storybook scenery as you journey towards the Arctic Circle. Keep your eyes peeled for an Arctic Fox! Our final destination is the Arctic Circle Sign, it shows you have crossed the Arctic Circle in ceremonious fashion and will receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate. Enjoy stunning views of interior Alaska and witness firsthand the remarkable wilderness scenery blanketed in snow.
Our tour will make you have more time to experience the expansive landscapes and fascinating cultures unique to Alaska’s Arctic in the short-day time of Winter

Day 5 - Fairbanks - Home
Today is the last day, and you need to check out before 11:00 am. We do provide 2 options for your choice.
Option 1: leave after check-out
Note: Please take the shuttle bus according to your flight and make sure to arrive at the airport 1.5 hours before the flight departure.
Option 2: Ice fishing & Santa Claus House ($179 per person with complimentary Fishing License, 11/15/2018-4/10/2019)
After check-out, you will take the shuttle (at 9:50am) head towards SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fairbanks at 12:35 pm. We will head towards the fishing area from Spring Hill by Marriott after approx. 30 mins. After the tour, the tour guide will send you to the airport or you can take the free shuttle bus towards the airport by yourselves.
**Please schedule your flights departing after 9:00 pm.

- Please print the confirmation page before departure.
- Each booking list will only provide a free guided pick-up service at Anchorage within the designated time of the first day of the itinerary.
– Free Airport Shuttle Service: 12pm, this is the pick-up time, not your flight arrive time, please schedule your flight arrive at the Anchorage airport before 11am.
– Meeting Location: Next to No.1 baggage claim;
– Pick-up Sign: Tour guide with a pick-up card (name indicated in your e-voucher)
- If you arrive by other times of the day, you can also choose to take a taxi to the hotel:

– If your arrival date is early or early the same day, you can contact our company to book the hotel one night prior to your trip at a discounted price.

- The Aurora Borealis are a natural phenomenon. There is no way for us to guarantee that you will see the Aurora. We do our best to provide premier locations for viewing, should the Aurora come out. Please check weather and Aurora reports before booking your tour with us.
- The winter weather in Fairbanks is changeable, we may temporarily cancel or change optional tour due to extremely weather condition. Partial refund may be available.
- Please note that T-Mobile is not available in Alaska.
